About us
Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust is a large acute hospital trust in the south east of England.
The trust was legally established on 14 February 2000 and we provide a full range of general hospital services, and some areas of specialist complex care to around 760,000 people living in the south of west Kent and the north of East Sussex.
We also provide specialist care including ophthalmology, stroke and sexual health services to a wider population.
We employ around 8,000 staff, and our core catchment areas are Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells and their surrounding boroughs.
We operate from three main clinical sites: Fordcombe Hospital, Maidstone Hospital and Tunbridge Wells Hospital at Pembury.
We provide specialist cancer services to around 2 million people in Kent, Medway and East Sussex, via the Kent Oncology Centre at Maidstone Hospital, and at Kent and Canterbury Hospital in Canterbury.
We also provide outpatient clinics across Kent and East Sussex.
